What is Mobile streaming?

• Mobile streaming is the continual broadcast of video and sound to mobile phones. The data is sent from the supplier of video or audio files to the customer.
• Compared to downloading a video on streaming is only played in the mobile and not stored in it.
• The broadcast can be reither performed on-line, as a live feed, or off-line from a database.
• The streaming quality is determined by the connection speed of the mobile network. The fastest connection and thus the highest quality of streaming is supplied by Telefónica O2 in it's so-called 3rd generation network or the UMTS (availeable only in Prague and Brno). Even though the quality is lower, you can still play a video in a standard GSM network.
• In order to watch a streaming videos, the customer has to have a mobile phone that plays videos and it has to be set to video profile. All information required to play video in your mobile can be found on your providers website.

Thousands of viewers can, as well as on the internet, pay for watching the broadcast in their mobile phones, many of which could not watch the broadcast otherwise.
