FAQ

Why is the broadcasting implemented by means of Microsoft Windows Media technology?
The aim of Internet broadcasting is to address as much users as possible. Microsoft Windows Media Player (WMP) is part of Windows operation systems and therefore it suits best the above mentioned requirement.
What is the quality of broadcasting?
The quality of transmission depends on each particular event and requirements of our clients. We are able to broadcast simultaneously at speeds ranging from analogue modem, GPRS, ISDN, cable modem or ADSL speeds up to 2 Mbps data connection (full PAL).
Which version of Windows Media Player do I need?
All events since 2003 are broadcast in the format for Windows Media Player version 9, compatible with Windows 98 SE, Windows 2000, Windows XP Professional/Home, Windows XP MCE and Windows 2003 Server operation systems. Recordings of older events can be viewed in Windows Media Player version 7 or lower.
List of all available versions of Windows Media Player can be found here.
The quality of reception is poor and transmission is often disrupted. What can I do?
The quality of reception is influenced by several factors. You can check your connection speed here or by clicking on the link on the main page. Further, the transmission assumes a clear Internet connection. If you use shared Internet connection, the declared connection speed may seem satisfactory in theory, but it is not so in reality. In case of variable connection speed, you may set the maximum required reception speed directly in Windows Media Player. See the Troubleshooting guide for more detailed information.
I can play neither video, nor audio. The application window just flashes and nothing more happens.
Try opening the broadcasting link in a separate WMP window without its integration into a webpage.
If even this does not help, try re-installing Windows Media Player without uninstalling the current version of WMP. It is possible that some other application, such as Real Player, has been set to launch the audio-video format of our broadcasting. Typically, you would receive the C00D11BB error message saying that Windows Media Player cannot play the file because the specified protocol is not supported.
Do you also plan streaming in Real Player or QuickTime formats?
Not at the moment.
